Your mental health and wellbeing are a priority for EA Melbourne. We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. Everyone should feel valued and heard.

If you are experiencing mental health challenges or feeling distressed, or dealing with difficult situations such as isolation or other personal struggles, help is available. You are encouraged to reach out for help whenever needed. This might include connecting with mental health professionals, accessing crisis support, or speaking with members of our community you feel comfortable with. Resources include:

If you experience or witness behaviour that harms your wellbeing or safety, such as harassment or discrimination, we encourage you to report it promptly. If you are unsure whether the situation requires intervention, it is better to disclose than to stay silent. When reporting, you remain in control of how much information you share. Please provide as much detail as you feel comfortable, including the date, time, and location of the incident, a description of what happened, and the names of individuals involved, if known.

You can report incidents by:

  • Contacting our Welfare Officer through the confidential contact form here (you may remain anonymous if you prefer)

  • Reaching out to other members of the organising committee (details here)

  • Contacting the Community Health Team at the Centre for Effective Altruism here

All reports are treated seriously and handled with strict confidentiality. If a crime has been committed, we encourage you to report it to the police.

Feel free to contact us whenever you need assistance.
